Vision – The future we want for all
An inclusive world through Para Sport.

Mission – How are we going to get there
Lead the Paralympic Movement, oversee the delivery of the Paralympic Games and support members to enable Para-athletes to achieve athletic excellence.

Ultimately, we believe parasport can drive change in three key areas: attitudes, mobility and opportunities. We want to change attitudes towards people with disabilities, increase mobility and accessibility and ensure that people with disabilities have the same opportunities to access education, sport, health care and use.

The IPC strongly believes that change begins with sport and that the work of the Paralympic Movement is a catalyst to foster social inclusion and advance the 17 United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Since 1989, the IPC has been creating change through sport with the Paralympics and Paralympians at heart.

The Paralympic Movement must use its influential global position and the growing profile of para-athletes to tackle disability stigma, empower social transformation and create a more inclusive society for all.
