“The Pegasus Dream Tour”, created by JP Games, syncs with the real-world event.
The mobile phone offer brings fans together in the virtual setting of Pegasus City. There, they can watch real-life match highlights and compete in their own competitive Parasports Grand Prix tournament.
In keeping with the start of the Paralympic Games, the ‘Grand Prix Pegasus Parasports’, the biggest official tournament, will take place from tomorrow (August 25e) to Sunday, September 5and.
Players will be able to participate in competitive virtual para-sport matches across 5 events: boccia, 100m sprint, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair racing and 5-a-side football. In-game medals are awarded based on the total points earned during the competition.
Player avatars or “Mines” can express themselves and show their support through stamps and emotes while watching hottest events.
Much like the real-world Paralympic Games at the end of the Games, visitors to Pegasus City will also be able to enjoy a spectacular Parasports Grand Prix Closing Ceremony. DREAMS COME TRUE will give, in avatar form, a free in-game concert “Let’s Evolve!”.
A total of 9 real Paralympic athlete avatars, such as boccia player Hirose Takayuki, wheelchair basketball player Patrick Anderson, javelin thrower Holly Robinson and 5-a-side football player Silvio Velo, will also appear during the ceremony to their avatar form.
