Opening of a multi-sport simulator in Southridge

Boules, cricket, hockey and golf are just a few of the options available through the new sports simulator at Highlands Ranch’s Southridge Leisure Centre.

The Highlands Ranch Community Association opened its second sports simulator in Southridge on Tuesday, with users quickly filling up reservations for the first two days. Southridge facilities supervisor David Isham said the HRCA had invested in another sports simulator due to the popularity of the golf simulator at the Northridge Recreation Center.

“We’ve seen a huge increase in demand for the Northridge Simulator, especially in the winter when people can’t actually get out on the golf courses,” Isham said.

Up to four golfers can play from a selection of 90 different golf courses and 20 golf skill challenges. The Southridge simulator also offers many other sports, such as basketball, baseball, soccer, lacrosse, rugby, soccer, and dodgeball. It even offers carnival games.

Isham said the simulator is suitable for all ages and various abilities.

Reservations are required for the simulator, which is currently available for free until October 24. After the free trial week, HRCA members can reserve the simulators for $10 per 30 minutes for up to 2 hours and non-members can reserve for $15 per 30 minutes. . Summer prices differ.

For members, the recreation center also sells 30-day passes for unlimited reservations for $80 or an annual pass for $500. Non-members can purchase a 30-day pass for $95.

HRCA has invested about $95,000 in the new simulator, and Isham said the recreation center aims to generate about $16,000 to $20,000 in bookings revenue per year. The Northridge Golf Simulator brings in around $20,000 a year.
