If you’re a football fan, Super Bowl Sunday is sacrosanct. It’s a day to gather friends, whip up a plethora of snacks, shut up the kids, and sit down to cheer on your favorite team.

Other Southern California Events

ESPN at Disneyland Resort

Disneyland is teaming up with ESPN for a week-long celebration that will include pre-game TV shows and events at Disney California Adventure and Downtown Disney.

Theme park ticket holders can see the ESPN Super Bowl broadcast center in the World of Color viewing area on Paradise Bay at Disney California Adventure from February 9-13. From there, the station will air segments of its “Sports Center,” “NFL Live,” “Postseason NFL Countdown,” and “NFL Matchup” shows.

Taking place just outside of DCA at Downtown Disney, the “Super Bowl Fan Experience” includes free games and giveaways that take place on the plaza between Tortilla Jo’s and Splitsville Luxury Lanes.

The Bud Light Super Bowl Music Festival

The Bud Light Music Fest debuted at the 2019 Super Bowl and returned for the next game in 2020. The festival was canceled for 2021 due to COVID-19, but is back this year.

The concert series runs for three days starting February 10 with Halsey and Machine Gun Kelly headlining. On February 11, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani take the stage with Mickey Guyton, the latter who will perform the national anthem at the Super Bowl. The musical weekend ends the day before the big game with performances from Green Day and Miley Cyrus.

The event requires proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within one day for an antigen test or two days for a PCR test before entering an event. Home test results are not accepted.
