Members of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) attended the International Volunteer Day, held recently at the Dubai Expo headquarters. The Red Crescent Society delegation to this event included Dr Kawthar Al Eid, Sawsan Al Aradi and Zakia Boukamal.
In attendance were representatives from various regional and international organizations, including the Arab League and the United Nations Volunteers Programme.
Members of the Society worked to publicize the honorable achievements of the Bahrain Red Crescent Society and Bahrain in the field of volunteerism, as well as the forward position of Bahrain in extending a helping hand to the needy in the context of relief and work. humanitarian.
During this participation, members of the Society focused on highlighting the contributions of Bahraini volunteers to national efforts to combat the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and how these efforts have helped to strengthen Bahrain’s success in fighting the pandemic.
They showcased the efforts of Volunteer Affiliates in many areas, including Bahrain International Airport, in addition to continuing to provide assistance to families in need, despite the challenges of the pandemic and in full compliance with safety measures. precaution.
