JP Games has announced the release of the very first official game of the Paralympic Games: The Pegasus Dream Tour.
The Pegasus Dream Tour, which takes place in the virtual city of Pegasus City, gives players the opportunity to create an avatar and participate in training and sports.
By creating an avatar called Mine, which they can create using selfies on their phone, players are offered two sports, boccia and 100m sprinting, while other sports such as running in wheelchair, five-a-side football and wheelchair basketball are expected to be added at a later date.
The growth and success of each player’s Mine contributes to the development of Pegasus City.
Yuzuru Hanyu, one of Japan’s top figure skaters, is the game’s ambassador and makes his video game debut in the title.
âI am honored to have been appointed Ambassador of the Pegasus Dream Tour,â he said. âAs a person who loves the games and also an athlete, I look forward to this wonderful opportunity to experience the excitement of the Paralympic Games through the game. I will also appear as a character in the game, and I hope meet you in Pegasus City!
Inside the game, players will also find the Japanese mascot Kumamon and nine actual para-athletes. Players have the option to complete multiple quests where they can talk and challenge para-athletes. They can also attend the Pegasus Avatar GALA party and a live event featuring popular artists.
The Pegasus Dream Tour is now available for free on Android and iOS.
